Vive la Paris by Esme Raji Codell
If you loved Sahara Special (previous Global Reading Challenge Title) as I did, this is a must read! If you find you love Vive la Paris, then you will have to also read Sahara Special.
The author’s first book that I read was Educating Esme about her year as a first year teacher. I think that this author has found that writing is her true calling! She is an avid book collector with over 12,000 books in her own personal library.(Even more than Mrs. B has!!) She has also spent time as a children’s librarian. Books of her’s in our library include Diary of a Fairy Godmother, Sahara Special, Sing a Song of Tuna Fish: Tales from Fifth Grade, and Vive la Paris Check out her website at: http://www.planetesme.com/. You may also enjoy her book blog: http://planetesme.blogspot.com/ Ms. Codell considers herself a READIOLOGIST(TM) and you can hear her in her own words on her interview with Just One More Book: http://www.justonemorebook.com/2007/10/13/interview-with-esme-raji-codell/ which is also available on our online resources at the TeachingBooks.net database.
